Iain McKell shoots Sakanaction for Japanese Vogue

Social documentary photographer, Iain McKell, who is renowned for his work on gritty street subcultures, has photographed the popular Japanese band Sakanaction for Vogue Nippon. 

In a five page spread, entitled The Social Eye, for the June 2012 issue, McKell photographs the band for a special interview by Reiko Yuyama.

This effortlessly cool five piece band made up of three guys and two girls are sharply styled for the pages of Vogue Nippon. Dressed in Balmain Homme, Yves Saint Laurent and Louboutin heels for the girls, McKell shoots them whilst energetically performing in the studio.

For this shoot, Complete Ltd provided all of the retouching and colour management on the all of images and were credited on the front page of the interview.
