Disegno No9 AW2015

Complete Ltd has worked on design magazine, Disegno since it’s printed launch in 2011.

Published bi-annually, each issue takes on a theme and a residency. For Autumn/Winter 2015 the residency was entitled 2˚C Communicating Climate Change to coincide with Disegno’s first exhibition of the same name at the Aram Gallery. Three from the ten exhibitors created the covers for this latest issue. The first of the tri-cover issue is Warning Signs by speculative designer and artist Ilona Gaynor. Char-Dolly by the Parsons & Charlesworth speculative design studio is the second in the series and finally, Glass Mobile by Sam Baron conceptual designer and director of design at communications research centre, Fabrica.

The magazine that covers the disciplines of design, architecture and fashion, also takes a look back at the 30 years since Michael Graves first designed his iconic 9093 kettle for Alessi. In another piece writer Joe Lloyd looks at why furniture brands aren’t fully embracing the potential of e-commerce and how it is likely to change. An unearthed essay of how the human anatomy influences the design of shoes from 1904 by architect Adolf Loos is reprinted along with beautiful photography of exceptional examples of modern footwear from designers such as Pierre Hardy and Giorgio Armani.

Complete Ltd consistently delivers high-quality techniques in colour management to the entire 210 pages of imagery in each issue of Disegno magazine.
